He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Colie Houck and Martha Coffield Crudup; his stepson Scott "Guy" Holbert; and his brother-in-law John Raymond. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Holbert Houck; his children, Carol Plaster, Jesse A. Houck and Andrew Houck (Julie); his stepsons, Mike Holbert and Mark Holbert; and his siblings, Mary H. Raymond and Thomas Houck (Marsha). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
