It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Franklin Horger (Orangeburg, South Carolina), who passed away on January 16, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Franklin and Dorothy Mitchum Horger; and his sisters, Evelyn Horger Whisenhunt and Mary Horger Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Beckham Horger; his daughters, Karen H. Sanders (DuPre), Donna H. Watts and Wendy H. Alsup; his grandsons, Joey Sanders, Josh Sanders, Jared Watts, Austin Watts, Luke Alsup and Ethan Alsup; and his brother Gene Horger (Mavis). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home (3379 Columbia Rd NE, Orangeburg, SC 29118). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gethsemane Baptist Church (655 Hammond Cross Rd, St Matthews, SC 29135). A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Prospect Southern Methodist Church Cemetery (585 Waterspring Rd, Orangeburg, SC 29118).
