As Burney departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Burney may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Burney leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow McDaniel and Mamie Lou McDaniel; and his sister Barbara Myers. He is survived by: his wife Betty McDaniel; his children, Mark McDaniel (Mary Driscoll), Mike McDaniel (Donna) and Dalene McDaniel; and his siblings, Benny McDaniel (Donnita) and Peggy Dority. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
