She was predeceased by: her husband Charles W. Gainey; her parents, Ideatha Clements Howell (Henry) of Jacksonville, Georgia. and George Whatley of Jacksonville, Georgia.; her daughter Gail Lee; and her grandson Brian Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Carter (Chris) of Branchville and Tim Gainey of Orangeburg; her grandchildren, Autumn Carter of Branchville, Hunter Carter (Brianna Rodenberger) of Branchville, Kadden Irick (Reagan Mcalhany) of Branchville and Hale Garrick of Orangeburg; and her great grandchildren, Oaklynn Ayer of Branchville, Adalynn Ayer of Branchville and Raelynn Carter of Branchville.
