It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Harter of Olar, South Carolina, who passed away on March 7, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome L. Bessinger and Girdie Hair Bessinger; her husband Joe Harter; her siblings, Alice F. McKuhen, Dorothy G. Reed, Floyd Clemson Bessinger, Robert Bessinger and Rhett Bessinger; and also Claude McCormick.
She is survived by: her children, Chris McCormick (Lesia) of Ehrhardt, SC and Susan McCormick Snipes (Jim Kinsey) of Olar, SC; her sister Barbara A. Stewart of Augusta, GA; her grandchild Ashley Fail (Wayne); her great grandchildren, Maelynn and Noah; her grandchildren, Brett McCormick and Jesse Snipes (Sarah); her great grandchild Cayden; and also Brenda Bessinger.
