He was predeceased by: his parents, William McMaster "Bud" Ray and Mildred Delk Ray; and his siblings, Betty Everitt and John W. "Bubba" Ray. He is survived by: his wife Janis Platt Ray; his son William H. Ray (Kelly Stanek) of Augusta; his siblings, Virginia Morris of Hilda, Sally Weeks (Joe) of Hilda, Martha Creech of Blackville, Julia Hunter of Olar, Pat Ray of Hilda and Shannon Ray of Olar; and his close friend Peachy.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be given to Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 471 Delk, Avenue, Barnwell, SC 29812.
