He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Duval Ardis, Sr. and Mary Louise Wilkerson Floyd. He is survived by: his children, Casey Ann Ardis (Meredith) of Lake City, Tasha Jewell of Seneca, Michael Shipley (Brittany) of Scranton and Paul Shipley of Timmonsville; and his close friend Isaac T. "Skip" Skipper III. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Floyd Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 5 to 7 p. m. COVID-19 precautions of face masks and social distancing are required at the visitation.
