He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bethea Mixon and Florence Elma Hill; his son Marvin Donald Mixon, Jr.; his grandson Brad Thigpen; and his siblings, Johnnie Youmans, Lula Miller, Inez Green, Pauline Brown, Ethelene Timmons Lyerly, Hill Mixon, Lloyd Mixon, Wimberly Mixon and Wallace Mixon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Campbell of Pennsylvania, Donna Coker (Tim) of Darlington and Dana Myers of Florence; his grandchildren, Whitney Thigpen (Milena) of Florida, Lee Thigpen of Pennsylvania, Anthony Thigpen of Tennessee, Christopher Coker of Columbia, Ashton Coker of Fort Mill, Lindsey Myers of Hawaii and Emily Myers of Florence; and his great grandchildren, Andrew Thigpen, Katheryn Thigpen of Florida and Aubri Lewis of Florence.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olanta Baptist Church (207 Magnolia Ave, Olanta, SC 29114). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
