It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Angela Huerta-Vivanco of Olanta, South Carolina, born in Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 22, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Enrique Huerta; her grandfather Jorge Huerta; her great-grandparents, Lewis Jones and Faye Fox; her aunt Augustina Punchero; her great-granduncle H. M. Marsh; and her great-great-grandparent Hallie Marsh.
She is survived by: her mother Mary Hernandez; her stepfather Juan Hernandez; her siblings, Luis Huerta-Vivanco (Zoie), Elisa Huerta-Vivanco (Franklin), Juan D. Hernandez and Harold Huerta-Vivanco; her grandparents, Esther De La Cruz, David, Melinda Williams and Isidra Vivanco; her great-grandparent Johnelle Jones; her brother Lee Helmer; and her close friend Vicente Chavez. She is also survived by great aunts and uncles, numerous cousins.
