He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Poston and Virginia Isabell Wilkes Cook; his daughter Christina Amanda Poston; and his brother Danny Ray Poston. He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy "Snapper" L. Poston, Jr. (Renie) of Lake Lure, NC, Jerry Dewayne Poston (Heather) of Coward, Brayan "Bryan" A. Poston (Ashley) of Effingham and Tommy Ray Poston (Erin) of Virginia; and his siblings, Jerry Cook of Florida, Franklin Poston of Florida and Joyce Diane Cook of Savannah. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild.
