He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Elias Granger and Vernila Jones Granger; his son Benjamin T. Granger; his siblings, Dorothy Sullivan, Pete Granger and William H. "Bud" Granger'; and his brother-in-law Shelby Barrineau.
He is survived by: his son David R. Granger, Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Ron Stidham (Karen) of Florence, Kent Stidham (Leslie) of Darlington and Melissa Hall (Burt) of Timmonsville; his sister Lethea G. Barrineau of Lake City; and his sister-in-law Ann Granger of Swansea. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews.
The family request that memorials be made to Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, 4071 Creek Road, Timmonsville, SC 29161.
