He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Dennis and Nita Lee Dennis; and his wife Patricia Coker Dennis. He is survived by: his children, Sandra D. Floyd (Walter Tony) of Olanta, James Russell Dennis (Beverly) of Florence and Carl Gene Dennis, Jr. (Loretta) of Summerton; his siblings, Nancy Trebella (Bill) of Lake City, Retha McAallister (Larry) of Lake City, Rita Howell (Jimmy) of Florence and Legrand Dennis (Lois) of Monks Corner; his grandchildren, Lauren E. Floyd, Brett Floyd (Ashley C.), Madeline Dennis, Anna Dennis and Harley Dennis; and his great grandchild Waylon S. Floyd.
