He was predeceased by: his wife Inez Louise Foster (Miller); his brothers, James Foster of Okatie, SC, Mark Foster of Roanoke, AL, Harold Jones and Michael Foster; and his parents, Harvey Dean Foster and Ethel Pratt Foster.

He is survived by: his children, Pamela Ann Young (Lanny) of Grafton, VA. and Lowel Brent Foster of Kilmarnock, VA.; his grandchildren, Leah Michelle Foster and Ian Bryce Foster; his great grandchildren, Iya Lynn Papperelli and Salem Foster; and his siblings, Mary Ethel Parker of Simpsonville, SC, Douglas Foster of Wooster, OH, Richard Foster of Milledgeville, GA, Howard Foster of Estes Park, CO and Harvey Ray Foster of Simpsonville, SC.
