It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Stephens formerly of Norway, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Paul Alvin Stephens and Rubye Caldwell Stephens; his sister Penny Lorraine Stephens; and his sister-in-law Jenny Nutter Stephens. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Kennedy; his siblings, David Lawrence Stephens of Campobello, SC, Geoffrey Craig Stephens of Texas and Paula Stephens Powell (Rick) of Columbus, NC; his niece Leigh Ann Daniel (Brian) of Cumming, GA; his nephews, Jason Paul Stephens (Jessica) of Waterloo, SC and William Hunter Stephens of Spartanburg, SC; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Luke Daniel, Oliver Stephens, Nadia Tate and Penelope Stephens; his grandson Sam; and also, April McConnell, Daniel Henderson, Joshua Helms, Alannah Henderson and Justin Henderson.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the ICU medical staff at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for the diligence and compassion shown to the many Covid patients for which they provide care, and also our family is grateful for the support and information updates provided to us by the medical team in their many phone calls.
