He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis L. Sharpe and Alda Rae Harmon Sharpe. He is survived by: his wife Eloise Hair Sharpe; his children, Angela Sharpe, Thomas Russell Sharpe (Robbin) and Toni Sharpe O'Cain (Watson); his grandchildren, Madison Victoria Sharpe, Addison Watson O'Cain, Morgan Olivia Sharpe and Ellison Rae O'Cain; and his brother Charles Morgan Sharpe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
