He was predeceased by: his former wife Faye Young Poole; and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Knight Poole. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Herndon Stabler Poole; his children, Cynthia Lorraine Coke (Karl) of North, Jack Allen Poole, Jr. (Jay) of Swansea and George Chester Poole (Tina) of Swansea; his sister Sabra Jean Parker of West Columbia; his stepsons, Andy Stabler of North and George Stabler of Columbia; and his grandchildren, Jessica Muse (Jonathan), Jack A. Poole, III (Ashley), Marty Hair (Nicole), Chelsea Calvert (Chris), Madeline Franklin (Allan), Katelyn Bolin (Josh), Benjamin Poole and Hannah Poole. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
