It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Otis Dewitt Livingston (North, South Carolina), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Heyward Livingston, Sr. and Josephine Kirkland Livingston; his brother Heyward Livingston; and his brother-in-law Wildon Martin. He is survived by: his wife Jane L. Livingston; his daughter Erica L. Richardson (Jason); his grandchildren, Harrison, Isla Grace and Eli Richardson; his sisters, Joann Martin and Debra Williams (Irvin); his sister-in-law Renee Livingston; and his nephews, Tim Martin, Jason Williams, Adam Livingston, Harvey Livingston, Everette Livingston and Wesley Livingston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The award is the highest civilian honor bestowed upon South Carolina citizens and is presented to South Carolinians that demonstrate extraordinary lifetime achievement, service, and contributions to the state.
