He was predeceased by: his former wife Mae Jean Gleaton Stroman; and his siblings, Thomas Stroman, William Robert Stroman and Arline Wolfe. He is survived by: his sisters, Helen Richardson and Annette R. Cook (Harvey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church or Providence Baptist Church.
