He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret (Peggy); his siblings, John, Joey Raphael and Anne Furtak; and his daughter-in-law Donna Raphael.

He is survived by: his children, William G. Raphael (Julie), Diane (Richard), James J. Raphael (Grainne Geller) and Peggy Ann Lam (Danny). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
