He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Norman and Ruth Ratcliffe Norman; his son Robert "Troy" Lewis Norman, II; and his siblings, James Norman, Carolyn Jasper and Amy Jo Austin.

He is survived by: his wife Debra Garrard Norman; his daughter Tabitha Weber (Steven); his granddaughters, Karrington and Brenley Weber of Spartanburg, SC; and his stepchildren, Tracie Ramos of Conway, SC, Kevin Wilmoth (Dina) of Sparta, TN and Tonya Stephens of Chattanooga, TN..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children's Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union Counties 100 Washington Place Spartanburg, SC 29302.
