He was predeceased by: his wife Earnestine Horting (Evans); his parents, Sarah Elizabeth (Aucker) and Earl Russell Horting, Sr.; his children, Paul W. Horting, Jr. and Debbie H. Sipes; and his siblings, Earl Russell Horting, Jr., Dorothy Horting and Ruth Horting. He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
