It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry David Wood Sr. of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Oscar Wood and Ruth Elizabeth Wood; his former wife Connie Louise Wood; and his sister Bonnie Durling. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Anne Fisher-Wood; his daughter Lisa Dawn Canney (Joshua Hutchins) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Megan of Aiken, SC, Peyton (McLain Poole) and Ashlyn Canney; his son Larry David Wood, Jr.; his stepson James Bradford Fisher (Kimberly); his stepgrandchild McKinley of Portland, OR; his brother Alan Ray Wood of Troutville, VA.; and also, John Canney of Myrtle Beach, Cadence, Madison and Shellie Wood of Roanoke, VA.

Memorials may be made to Fisher House, 150 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401, or Tunnel to Tower Foundation.
