He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Oscar Wood and Ruth Elizabeth Wood; his former wife Connie Louise Wood; and his sister Bonnie Durling. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Anne Fisher-Wood; his daughter Lisa Dawn Canney (Joshua Hutchins) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Megan of Aiken, SC, Peyton (McLain Poole) and Ashlyn Canney; his son Larry David Wood, Jr.; his stepson James Bradford Fisher (Kimberly); his stepgrandchild McKinley of Portland, OR; his brother Alan Ray Wood of Troutville, VA.; and also, John Canney of Myrtle Beach, Cadence, Madison and Shellie Wood of Roanoke, VA.
