He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gwendolyn Howell Sprawls and John Fuller Sprawls; his wife Frances Louise Shealy Sprawls; his sons, John Lanier, Jr. and Patrick Willis (Mark); his son-in-law Doug Ford; his grandchildren, Ashley Sprawls Jackson, Carson Patrick Livers, Michael Reid Livers and Robert Martin Sprawls; his stepgrandchildren, Justin Ford and Rachel Burns (Jason); his sister Carol Sprawls Snyder; his niece Lisa Freedman (Barry); his nephew William Snyder (Michelle); his great-nephews, Rhett, Brice and Grant Freedman; his daughter Rahnda Elizabeth Sprawls Ford; his brother-in-law Wayne Snyder; his friend Elliott Swartz; and his pet Rascal.
