With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esther Ackerman Scott of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on June 5, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father George Ackerman; and her son Samuel Leder. She is survived by: her mother Sarah Ackerman of Fort Mill, SC; her children, Rachel Couchenour (Brad) of Charlotte, NC and Benjamin Leder of Sanford, FL; her daughter-in-law Shannon Leder of Concord, NC; her siblings, Allan Ackerman of Columbia, SC, Penni Powell (Steve) of Charlotte, NC and Bernie Ackerman (Teri) of Fort Mill, SC; and her grandsons, Matthew, Bennett Leder of Concord, NC and George Couchenour of Charlotte, NC..
