He is survived by: his niece Marie Nye Williamson; his former wife Willa Dean Bryant of Cerro Gordo; his wife Diane Nye; his children, Jennifer Nye Wise (Brian) and Adam of Charlotte, NC; his stepsons, Alex Carter of Virginia and Chad Carter (Nikki); his daughter Rachel of Garner, NC; his son-in-law Edwin Kinard Fennell, Jr. of Rockingham, NC; his grandson Trey Fennell (Melanie); his great grandchildren, Owen and Esme of Mechanicsville, VA; his granddaughter Carly Fennell McKay (Daniel); and his great grandchildren, Rhett and Ivy of Rockingham, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
