With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia Louise Schmitz of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Cynthia Louise find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Troost and Alice Van Troost; her husband Gerald; and her pets, Digger and Barney.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Ellen Darling (Richard), James Van Troost (Susan) and David Van Troost; and her siblings-in-law, Ann Heffernan and Steve Schmitz (Susan). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nephew and several minty friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society.
