He was predeceased by: his parents, O. V. Stancil and Geneva Creech Stancil; and his brother R. Wayne Stancil. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith Stancil; his sons, W. Dale (Catherine) of Winston-Salem, NC and Cliff of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandchildren, Lawson and Paul Stancil; his sister-in-law Maggie Stancil; his stepdaughter Tina Simmons (Shane); and his children, Cameron and Parker Simmons.
