It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Albert Edward Jaccard Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 97, on September 29, 2023. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert E. Jaccard Sr. and Johanna (Noll); his former wife Francine (Malek); his sons, Douglas and Dennis; and his siblings, Eleanor and Richey.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Jeff (Donna) of Lenoir City, TN, Debra Clark (Dennie) of Blacksburg, VA, Michele Coalson (Danny) of Pulaski, VA and Elaine Hoyt (Howard) of Durham, NC.; his sister Mary Pfeiffer; and his grandson Jason Clark of Bland, VA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers Al's family would like to invite everyone to be kind to one another-extend a smile, give a compliment, treat a first responder/service member to lunch, do an act of kindness.

“Dear Patricia & Family, I first met Al at Holy Trinity Grammar School's weekly Mass on Wed. morning. My grandson was a third grader there and I would attend the Mass each week. Al was wearing an FDNY cap and since I too was a NYC firefighter I introduced myself. It turns out that Al & I worked in the same Ladder Company, Lad 3, only many years apart. You see Al retired the same year, 1973, that I was appointed. A lovely man who will be sorely missed. Sincerely, Mike Murphy”
