She was predeceased by: her husband James R. Chustz of North Charleston; her parents, J. D. Owens and Lessie Mae Westmoreland Owens; her grandmother O. Hancock; her son Owen Poole; and her siblings, Gloria Allen, Janette May, Joanna Owens Lawhorn, Sarah Aaron and Thomas Owens.
She is survived by: her son Wendell Poole; her stepsons, Gerald Chustz (Brenda) and Brian Chustz (Misti Simmons); her brother Ronald D. Owens (Gloria); her grandsons, Matthew Poole (Maelyn), Brad Melton (Nicole), Christopher Chustz (Lisa), Tucker Chustz and Matthew Chustz (Lola); and her great grandchildren, Keyton, Pate, Knolyn, Gage and Tucker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and several amazing neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home (7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
