He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Pruitt and Delia Walker Pruitt; his wife Judy Pruitt; and his daughter Tonia Gay Pruitt. He is survived by: his daughter Judy B. Dillow; his son-in-law Kim Dillow; his grandson Justin P. Dillow (Jessica); his daughter Shelia Ray; and his siblings-in-law, Onita Meadows, Jean Brasel and Dennis Brasel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
