With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norman L Hicks (North Charleston, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Norman may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stanley Hicks and Florrie Maybelle Stone. He is survived by: his wife Ann Hicks of North Charleston, SC; his children, Kevin L. Hicks (Angie) of Summerville, SC, Amanda H. (Mandy) and Williams (Eric) of Summerville, SC; his brothers, Gerald Hicks (Annette) of Pamplico, SC and Ronald (Mattaline) of Lexington, SC; and his close friend Larry Howard of North Charleston. He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Aldersgate Methodist Church (1444 Remount Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to either the Marion Marauders, or Prospect Methodist Church.
