He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Clate and Bessie Coney Baker; his granddaughter Sarah Frances Smolinski; and his sisters, Caroline Rogers, Elizabeth Brosamer and Mary Catherine North.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Buckheister Baker; his children, Cheryl Aden, Susan Zellmann, Deborah Simpson (Matt) and Roy Baker, Jr. (Kim); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Mark, Daniel, Amanda, Candice, Kayla, Olivia, Rowan, Jacob and Ronnie; his brother Tommy "Bud" Baker (Rita); and his brother-in-law Stephen Buckheister (Kathy). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
