In the vast expanse of eternity, JoAnn Helms shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid JoAnn Helms farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine DePalma and John Warren Helms; and her sister Nancy Cusack. She is survived by: her husband Robert R. Gould; her sons, Joseph Mantilla of Ladson, SC and Jeffery Mantilla of Cocoa, FL; her stepson Ryan Oros of Summerville, SC; and her sister Loretta Rodriguez of Long Island, NY.. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A burial was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Please Deliver Home. Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home (1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston, SC 29407).
