He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn V. Holmes Alston; his parents, Leroy Beasley, Sr. and Catherine Bosty; his siblings, Lucenia Beasley-Jones (William), Isaiah Green (Julia), Charles Beasley, Sr., Leroy Morgan, Lottie Mae Martin and Elizabeth Fields; and his mother-in-law Carrie B. Holmes.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Young (Curtis), Veronica Greenlee (Gary), Portia Shiver (Charles), Carolyn Alston-Falco (Thomas), James Alston, Jr., Jermaine Alston (Toya) and Ricky Grant (Carolyn); his siblings, Juanita Shell, Ethel Beasley, Julia Pryor (Charlie), William Beasley, Leroy Beasley, Jr. (Collette) and Eugene White, Sr. (Faith); his mother-in-law Lue Reather Beasley; and his sister-in-law Cathy Morgan. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
