She was predeceased by: her husband LeRoy Randolph Baker, Sr.; her parents, William Francis Buckheister and Annie Baumil Buckheister; her granddaughter Sarah; and her siblings, Beverly Koester, Billy Buckheister and Ronald Buckheister.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Aden, Susan Zellmann, Deborah Simpson (Matt) and Roy Baker, Jr. (Kim); her grandchildren, Benjamin, Mark, Daniel, Amanda (Chris), Candice (Ryan), Kayla, Olivia, Rowan, Jacob and Veronica; and her brother Stephen Buckheister (Kathy). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Northwood Baptist Church (2200 Greenridge Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Memorial Gardens (7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406).
