With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mabel Gooding Braxton (North Charleston, South Carolina), who passed away on July 14, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maybelle Cook and William Hard Gooding; and her husband Harry Braxton, Jr. of Charleston. She is survived by: her daughter Deniece Braxton (Deanie); her grandchildren, Christina (Christi), Pitchford (Trey), James (Jimmy) and Cox (Rayna Logan); her great grandchildren, TJ, Taryn, Cole Pitchford and Olivia Logan-Cox; her brother Oddis Gooding of Crocketville; and her sisters-in-law, Mable Gooding of Charleston and Edyce Gooding of Aiken. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
