The memory of Christopher C Merrill of North Charleston, South Carolina, born in Bellows Falls, Vermont, who passed away on September 8, 2024 at the age of 67, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Christopher farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Christopher is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Merrill and Virginia Wylie Merrill; and his sister Janet Merrill. He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Snooky" Lemen of North Charleston; his siblings, Steve Merrill (Cheryl) and Dr. Judy Yancey (Bruce); and his children, Michael Merrill, Laura Ann Merrill and Virginia "Ginny" L. Merrill. He is also survived by 11 nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Christopher's honor to the University of Georgia Foundation (please designate undergraduate student emergency fund).
