He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Branton and Bessie Grey; his siblings, Herman Branton (Adrienne), Mildred B. Geathers (Augustine), Janie B. Wilson (Herbert), Debra B. Garrett, Jefferson Branton (Rose), Isabelle B. Moultrie (Levi) and James "Snake" Grey (Rosalyn); and his aunts and uncles, Evelyn Lee (Teddy), Julia Hood (Herbert), Ezekiel Gray (Shirley), Levi Gray (Alvena), Henry Gray, Alvin Grey, Louis Gray, George Branton (Dorothy) and James Branton (Tina).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Grey; his children, Syreitta Grey-Simmons (Chris), Robert Green (Cindy) and Christopher Grey; his grandchildren, Carson of Nevada, Be'Auka Moyd (John), Robert Foy and Treveon Coaxum; his siblings, David Grey (Teresa), John H. Branton (Mary), Martin Branton, Leonard Branton (Evelina), Sherrlyn Branton and Eartha Lee McCormick (Herman); his uncle Sam Branton (Rosa); his aunts, Shirley Gray and Alvena Gray; and his brother-in-law William Garrett. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rev Bryan McNeal Sr. Memorial Chapel (4129 Highway 17 North, Awendaw, SC 29429).
