He was predeceased by: his parents, Zollie Cox and Eula Yates Cox; his grandmother Julia Yates; and his siblings, Faye Whittington, Inis Perry, Ennis Goulds, Jake Linnis Cox, Jim Cox, Hubert Cox and Clyde Delano Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Cox (Heather Newton) and Kristi Blattel (Edward Senkowski); his grandchildren, Josh Christy, Zach Christy, Caleb Blattel and Madeleine Cox; his nieces and nephews, Nancy Moretz, Regina Beatty, Sandra Prince, Joan Johnson, Josephine Johnson, Reece Cox and Kenneth Johnson; and his friends, John and Judy Shepherd.
Memorials may be made to Walter's favorite charities, the SPCA Albrecht or Aiken Meals on Wheels.
