We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2024, at the age of 80, Vernon Smith (North Augusta, South Carolina), born in Augusta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Ray and Ora Bell Smith; and his siblings, Jewel Ray Smith, Jr., Cecil Marion Smith, Jeanet Mitchel and Katherine Trudell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Overstreet Smith; his children, Reneé Lutot (Sean) and Brad Smith (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Travis Byrd (Rebecca), Jeremy Byrd, Ryan Hewitt, Collin Smith, Morgan Smith and Garrett Lutot; his stepgrandsons, Nathan Haley and Dallton Deal; and his great grandchildren, Paisley Byrd, Ryder Hewitt and Madison Hewitt.
