It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Douglass (North Augusta, South Carolina), born in Winnsboro, South Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Douglas and Mary Lee Douglas (Bell); his former wife Barbara Cushing Douglas; his siblings, Sara Wells (Osborn), Harold Douglas Jr. (Jenny), Leslie Douglas, Wallace Douglas (Jean) and Tommy Douglas; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Long and Bill Hay.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Abbott-Douglass (Peach); his children, Catherine Douglas, Deborah Hoy (Debbie), Cynthia Owens (Cindy), Pamela NeSmith (Leslie), Elizabeth (Bess), Mills (Nick) and Charles Nadolski (Kim); his sisters, Evelyn Long and Mary Ann Hay; and his sister-in-law Carole Douglas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to New Hope AR Presbyterian Church, ℅ Capri Lewis, 1469 East Peach Rd, Ridgeway, SC 29130.

“So sorry to hear about Marion. Marion gave me one of my first jobs, during a summer break from school, as a copier repairman working in his office supply store right next to his furniture store. When I first started I was totally green and read books and worked on ones they had in the office and after I learned started going out and catching calls. When their was calls to catch worked in his furniture store selling stuff or making deliveries. It was quite an experience working with him and David”
