She was predeceased by: her siblings, Sonny Weathersbee and Jewel Brantley; and her parents, John Miller and Leila Mae Slayton Weathersbee. She is survived by: her husband Frederick Thomas "Fred" Owens, Sr.; her sons, Kevin Plunkett (Debra) and Darren Plunkett (Tammy); her stepchildren, Frederick T. Owens, Jr. and Wendy Renee Owens; her sisters, Pat Guglieri and Mary Wilson; her grandchildren, Dustin Plunkett, Devin Brown, Holly Plunkett, Deanna Gainey, Frederick T. "Trey" Owens, III and Kirsten Strickland; and her great grandchildren, Chase Brown, Marissa Brown, Vanessa Brown, Nolan Flake, Aiden Bivins, John Cuppernell, Nevaeh Cuppernell and Lily Gainey. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
