He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Neal Porter and Gertrude Porter; and his siblings, Bob Porter (Joan), Norman Porter, Lucille Greene (George) and Evelina Panther (HK).
He is survived by: his wife Joy R. Porter; his daughters, Robin E. McGee (Ronnie) and Charlotte P. Thomas (James); his grandchildren, Drew Emmette and Tori Livengood (Steven); and his sister-in-law Brenda Porter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
