She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah and Ethel; and her sister Trunelle Berry Carrol. She is survived by: her husband Tommy Goree; her children, Jennifer Swift and Jeffrey David Phillips; her grandchildren, Shawn Swift, Noah Swift, Kaylee Phillips and Drew Phillips (Lauryn Landrith); and her daughter Wendy Phillips.
