She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wesley and Sara Eldora Nelson Wood; and her stepfather Prince Alton Sappington. She is survived by: her significant other Harold "Hal" Robinson; her sons, Travis Whatley (Katie) of Ninety Six, SC and Nick Whatley (Jessica) of Abbeville, SC.; her granddaughter Allyson Whatley; her aunt Lula Wood of Saluda, SC; her cousins, Phyllis Jones of Florida, Diane Tyler of Florida, Terri Martin of Florida, Chris Jones of Florida, Demos Jones of Florida, Phillip Nelson (Cornelia) of Georgia and Lena Warren of Saluda, SC; and her close friend Brenda Millender of Greenwood.
The family will be at the home on 123 Frazier Rd, Ninety Six, SC 29666 and will receive friends in the church parlor from 9:30 until 11:00 on Saturday, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 301 Cambridge street N, Ninety Six, SC 29666 or Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church, 194 Highway 20, Abbeville, SC 29620.
