He is survived by: his children, Joel Jason Kilgore of Raleigh, NC, Amy Kilgore Mangus of Wilmington, NC, Sabre Winter Whitfield Poston of Hemingway, SC and Heidi Noel Whitfield Guidry (Richard) of Jacksonville, NC; his stepchildren, Dan Shelley, Cyndy Coffeen (Doug), Sheila Ammons and Melissa Jones; his adoptive son John Michael Collins; his grandchildren, Summer Rayne Altman, Rivers Ethan Poston, Deanna Ivory Guidry, Reegan Hayes Poston, Victoria Faith Guidry, Ryland Allen Poston, Raeleigh Larkyn Poston, Rowan Kerrington Poston, Reid Saylor Poston and Ariana Lee Caswell; and his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Reynolds, Jessica Thasitis, Seth Reynolds, Ben Shelley, Hannah Shelley Fail, Annie Watson, Nick Denitto, Ali Boatwright, Matt Jones, Luke Jones, Jade Ammons, Stetson Ammons, Emmy Ammons and Daniel Ammons.
