It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sybil Jean McConnell Shelton of Nichols, South Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Shelton Sr.; her parents, Aaron McConnell and Etrulia "Trudy" McConnell of Spartanburg; her grandson Kenneth James Shelton; and her brothers, Larry and Carroll McConnell.

She is survived by: her sons, Charles "Chuck" Shelton Jr. (Jukeeta Altman) and James "Jamie" Shelton (June); her sister Beverly Crocker (Paul); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Evans (Michael), Chastity Bryans (Markus), Sabrina Shelton (Miguel), Matthew Shelton (Jacey), Jessica Nicholls (John), Kristie Mahaffey (Bo) and Jonathan Shelton. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren; and many other loved nieces and nephews.
