She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Frantic Hooks and Edna Mattie Small Hooks; her stepfather Chalmers Lewis Lawson (Richard Franklin Battle, Sr.); her sons, Richard Franklin Battle, Jr. and Lewis Carlton Battle; her sister Edna Carl Hooks Moody; and her daughter-in-law Faye Hardwick Battle.
She is survived by: her son James Warren Battle of Athens; her sister Darca Hooks of Whiteville; her grandchildren, Franklin Lawson Battle of Nichols and Rebecca Page Battle of Mt. Pleasant; and her daughter-in-law Charlotte Johnson Battle of Marion.
