He was predeceased by: his father Calvin Carroll Buffkin; and his brother Johnny Carroll Buffkin. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Draper Buffkin of Nichols; his sisters, Tammy Carnelia Gerrald of Florence and Kristen Roseanna Murphy of Nichols; his nieces and nephews, Kiyanna Rochelle Murphy, Kavon Roshem Murphy, Riva Alanna Gerrald and Caleb Rodney Gerrald; his uncles, Mason Draper (Erika) and Dee Draper of Marion; his aunt Doris Schaefer (John) of Florida; and his sister-in-law Paula Martin Buffkin. He is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews.
