She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie Lee Holman Bookman and Rufus Reeves; her husband Fred Houseal; and her children, Freddie Houseal (late Dorothy), Robert Houseal, Clifton Houseal, Glenn Houseal, Dorothy and Beamon Boyd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nina Houseal Bowers (Gregory) and Earnestine Houseal; her grandson Clifton Houseal, Jr.; and her daughters-in-law, Kathleen Houseal and Angelette Houseal.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel (601 South St, Newberry, SC 29108). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (110 Broomstraw Rd, Chapin, SC 29036).
